Short version: your experiments stay in your browser unless you choose to export and share a file.

What is stored

Named snapshots, notes, rules, seeds, cell states, clock speed, and season settings are stored in your browser’s local storage. No account is required.

What is sent

Life Lab Notebook has no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party runtime scripts. The hosting provider may process ordinary server request logs for security and reliability.

Your control

Delete individual snapshots in the notebook. Clearing this site’s browser storage removes all saved snapshots. Exported JSON files are controlled by whoever holds them.
